DATA students are required to complete 10 hours of community service per year for a total of 40 hours before the senior year.
We recognize that many DATA students far exceed the minimum requirements in community service. For that reason, we are proud to offer our members an opportunity to apply for the President's Volunteer Service Award. The Award, issued by the President's Concil on Service and Civic Partication on behalf of the White House, honors individuals that have demonstrated outstanding volunteer service and civic partication over the course of a 12-month period. Our service is period is from March 25, 2009 - March 24, 2010.
All community service must be entered into the website located at http://www.presidentialserviceawards.gov/.
