UPCOMING EVENTS

The California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) will be administered on Tuesday and Wednesday, March 16 and 17,  to all 10th graders for the first time, and to all eleventh and twelfth graders who have yet to pass.  CAHSEE testing dates are reverse minimum days.

10th graders must report to their Advocacy classes at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday UNLESS they were notified to test in a different location.  11th and 12th graders who have yet to pass have been notified of their testing location.

Freshmen and students who have passed the exam should come to school for lunch at 11:45 AM or report to their first regular class at 12:20 P.M.

Students who are testing will begin at  8:00 a.m. and test until 11:45 a.m.  Lunch will be served at 11:45 a.m.  Students who arrive after 8:40 a.m. will not be allowed to test and will make-up the missed exam in May.  (May’s make-up day is only for 10th graders and seniors.  Juniors must wait until November.)  Since students must pass both the English and math sections of the exam in order to qualify for a high school diploma, it is important for those who are scheduled to test to attend on time.

If you have questions, see your Advocacy teacher or Mrs. Barentson in HM13.
